There’s an economic need in tech. Do you know what is it is? The workforce is in great need of acquiring skilled sets of diverse talent among both women and minorities to accomplish company goals. Jones & Company (J.C.W) is a women and minority owned staffing firm for rich diverse talent within the IT and engineering industries. Two years ago, it was founded by two Los Angeles transplants. Leading with the Founder Vette Jones followed by the Co-Founder Holly Alisha, whom both hail from Atlanta. The firm is based in Downtown Los Angeles and recruits nationwide for direct hire, contract and intern roles. The creation of J.C.W began with eight years of experience in the IT recruiting sector and was also inspired by the brilliant, Grace Hopper. J.C.W is small, which means they work vigorously and are able to establish a personal relationship with each recruit. Over the past two years, the firm has grown significantly by helping startups and large corporations fulfill their niche technical roles as well as impacting their diversity rates. Many challenges are faced, but Vette and Holly have successfully built on the principles of providing organizations with winning diversity recruitment strategies. According to the American Sociological Association, gender-diverse organizations are 21 percent more likely to experience above-average profitability than their less-diverse peers. J.C.W is here to fill the gender gaps, produce lower turnover rates and increase employee engagement. J.C.W has hosted a number of “Women & Tech” networking events throughout the Los Angeles area and have reached over 1,000 individuals for career opportunities. The firm has received extensive recognition for collaboration with cultural college and university programs, recruiting and talent teams within companies. J.C.W champions change and drives their entire hiring process with respect to Diversity & Inclusion initiatives. Their main objective is to strengthen the number of women and minority engineers who have excelled academically, succeed professionally and positively impact the world!
